Fruit water kefir is a sparkling and unpasteurized drink obtained from the fermentation
of fruit and sugar (or natural product source of sugars) in the presence of kefir grains and water.

One of the oldest references in the French language on the fruit water kefir dates back to 1898 and presents the water kefir grains under the name Tibi. Called “lemonade of the poor”.
